T-1 Training (IADC Introductory Well Control)

  • Training carried out at the rig site.
  • Continued orientation of new employee(s) at a specific rig site.
  • CBT/Manual - student may progress at their own speed, or directed by rig manager, driller, crane operator, or rig safety rep. Once student completed CBt, he will report to the New Iberia Training Center for 3 hour review and final test.
  • Course length: OJT up to 6 months, 3 hour review @ PDC Training Center, 5 year certificate
  • Suggested audience: Floormen, Derrickmen, Roustabout
