HOUSTON, April 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Parker Drilling Company (NYSE: PKD) today announced the appointment of George H. Gentry III as Director of Human Resources. In this capacity Gentry will manage all human resources functions, including staffing, benefits and compensation and compliance.

Prior to joining Parker Drilling Gentry led and managed the human resources function at Marine Drilling Companies, Inc.; Input/Output, Inc.; and Tenneco Energy. After earning his BBA at The University of Texas, Gentry's career began with Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation.
