Robert L. Parker Jr.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
After receiving an undergraduate business degree and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Parker joined the company in 1973 as a contract representative and was named manager of U.S. operations later that year. He was elected a vice president in 1973, executive vice president in 1976, and in October 1977, Mr. Parker was named president and chief operating officer. In December 1991, he was named chief executive officer, was elected chairman in April of 2006 and has retained the position of chairman and chief executive officer since 2007. Mr. Parker is currently a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). He is a member of the University of Texas Development Board - at Austin, and he is a member of the board of University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Development Board. He is also a member of the board of directors for the American Petroleum Institute (API), is the current API General Membership chair, serves on the API Policy Committee, and is a former API Upstream Committee member. He has served as a Parker director since 1973.
David C. Mannon
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Mannon was named senior vice president and chief operating officer in December 2004, and was named president and chief operating officer in July 2007. Mr. Mannon has 24 years experience in the drilling industry. He began his career with SEDCO-FOREX, formerly SEDCO, in 1980 as a drilling engineer and joined Triton Engineering Services Company, a subsidiary of Noble Drilling, in 1988, where he was responsible for turnkey, project management and well engineering projects. Under Mr. Mannon's direction, Triton developed a systematic, multi-phase approach to operations realizing significant improvements in well operations by focusing on integrating drilling engineering, well planning, logistic coordination and task execution. He held a number of managerial positions culminating with his appointment as president and chief executive officer in 2003. Mr. Mannon earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Southern Methodist University and a master of business administration from the University of Houston. He is currently a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), and also serves on the Upstream Committee of the American Petroleum Institute (API).
W. Kirk Brassfield
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Brassfield was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in October 2005 after serving as vice president, finance and accounting since July 2001. Prior to that time, he served as corporate controller since 1998. Prior to joining Parker Drilling, he served in several finance positions with MAPCO, including director of planning. Mr. Brassfield started his career in auditing with KPMG, where he held several positions for 13 years. He served as a national instructor for KPMG, a worldwide auditing and tax firm, and was a member of its Professional Practices Review Team. Mr. Brassfield is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Oklahoma State Society of CPA's. He also served on the local and state boards of the American Heart Association. Mr. Brassfield graduated from Leadership of Tulsa. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Tulsa.
Denis Graham
Vice President - Engineering
Mr. Graham joined Parker Drilling in November 2000 as vice president of engineering. He has more than 20 years of industry experience with a major offshore drilling contractor. Most recently he worked for Diamond Offshore Drilling as senior vice president of technical services. Additional experience with that company includes management of design engineering, marine operations, survey and repair, maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Mr.Graham is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. Mr. Graham holds a master of engineering/civil structural degree from The University of Houston and a bachelor of science/ocean engineering degree from Texas A&M University.
Ronald C. Potter
Vice President & General Counsel
Mr. Potter joined Parker Drilling as an attorney in August of 1980 after having spent two years in private practice. His legal duties included negotiation of international drilling contracts, registration of subsidiaries in numerous foreign countries, negotiation and compliance with various credit agreements and supervision of litigation. From 1985 to 1995 Mr. Potter held the position of senior attorney during which time he became involved in the issuance of secondary equity offerings for the company, negotiated the formation of several international joint ventures, and assisted in the establishment of the company's operations in the former Soviet Union. In 1996 he assumed the role as chief legal counsel and in 2001 was elected corporate secretary. From February 2001 through May 2003, he continued to perform similar legal duties for the company as a shareholder of Conner & Winters, P.C. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In June of 2003, he re-joined the company as vice president and general counsel.
David W. Tucker
Treasurer
Mr. Tucker was elected treasurer in March 1999. He joined the company in 1978 as a financial analyst and served in various financial and accounting positions before being named chief financial officer of the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Hercules Offshore Corporation, in February 1998. Mr. Tucker holds a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oral Roberts University.
Lynn G. Cullom
Principal Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller
Ms. Cullom was name Principal Accounting Officer in October 2005. She was named corporate controller in March 2005. Ms. Cullom has 27 years of experience in financial accounting. She joined Parker Drilling in 2004 as director of corporate planning. Prior to that, she was with El Paso Corporation, a natural gas and energy products company, which merged with Coastal Corporation in 2001. For 21 years with Coastal Corporation, a diversified energy and petroleum products company, she held various accounting positions, including vice president of financial reporting and planning for Coastal Mart, a Coastal subsidiary. With El Paso Corporation, she held various accounting and reporting director positions. Ms. Cullom holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Texas A&M University and a master of business administration in accounting from Texas A&M University. Additionally, she obtained a law degree from the University of Houston. She is an attorney in the state of Texas and a CPA.
Michael D. Drennon
Vice President, Operations
Michael D. Drennon was appointed vice president, operations for Parker Drilling Company in December 2005, with responsibility for worldwide drilling operations. Prior to joining Parker Drilling, Mr. Drennon was program director for BP's development of existing and potential discoveries in Angola. BP is one of the world's largest energy companies. Drennon spent over 28 years with Amoco and BP in a variety of staff, engineering and operation assignments.
Mr. Drennon received a bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University in 1977.
