Robert L. Parker Jr.

Executive Chairman

After receiving an undergraduate business degree and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Parker joined the company in 1973 as a contract representative and was named manager of U.S. operations later that year. He was elected a vice president in 1973, executive vice president in 1976, and in October 1977, Mr. Parker was named president and chief operating officer. In December 1991, he was named chief executive officer, was elected chairman in April of 2006 and has retained the position of executive chairman since 2009. Mr. Parker is currently a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). He is a member of the University of Texas Development Board - at Austin, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Development Board, and the Greater Houston Partnership Board of Directors. He is also a member of the board of directors for the American Petroleum Institute (API), is the current API General Membership chair, serves on the API Policy Committee, and is a former API Upstream Committee member. He has served as a Parker director since 1973.

 

 

David C. Mannon

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mannon was named senior vice president and chief operating officer in December 2004, president and chief operating officer in July 2007, and president, chief executive officer and member of the board of directors in October 2009. Mr. Mannon has nearly 30 years of experience in the drilling industry. He began his career with SEDCO-FOREX, formerly SEDCO, in 1980 as a drilling engineer and joined Triton Engineering Services Company, a subsidiary of Noble Drilling, in 1988, where he was responsible for turnkey, project management and well engineering projects. He held a number of managerial positions culminating with his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2003. Mr. Mannon earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Southern Methodist University and a master of business administration from the University of Houston. He is currently a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), serves on the Upstream Committee of the American Petroleum Institute (API), and is an executive board member of Southern Methodist University's College of Engineering.

 

 

W. Kirk Brassfield

Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Brassfield was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in October 2005 after serving as vice president, finance and accounting since July 2001. Prior to that time, he served as principal accounting officer and corporate controller since 1998. Prior to joining Parker Drilling, he served in several finance positions with MAPCO, including director of financial planning. Mr. Brassfield started his career in auditing with KPMG, where he held several positions for 13 years. Mr. Brassfield is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Oklahoma State Society of CPAs and Financial Executives International. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Tulsa.

 

 

Denis Graham

Vice President - Engineering

Mr. Graham joined Parker Drilling in November 2000 as vice president of engineering. He has nearly 30 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Parker Drilling, he held the position of senior vice president of technical services at Diamond Offshore Drilling Company. Mr. Graham is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. Mr. Graham holds a master of engineering/civil structural degree from the University of Houston and a bachelor of science/ocean engineering degree from Texas A&M University.

 

 

Jon-Al Duplantier

Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Duplantier joined Parker Drilling in September 2009 as vice president and general counsel. Before joining Parker, he served in several legal and management roles from 1995 to 2009 at ConocoPhillips, including senior counsel - Exploration and Production, managing counsel - Indonesia, executive assistant - Exploration and Production, and counsel - Dubai. Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Duplantier served as a patent attorney for DuPont from 1992 to 1995. He received his juris doctor degree from Louisiana State University in 1992 and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Grambling State University.

 

 

David W. Tucker

Treasurer

Mr. Tucker was elected treasurer in March 1999. He joined the company in 1978 as a financial analyst and served in various financial and accounting positions before being named chief financial officer of the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Hercules Offshore Corporation, in February 1998. Mr. Tucker holds a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oral Roberts University.

 

 

Philip A. Schlom

Principal Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller

Mr. Schlom joined the Company in September 2009 as principal accounting officer and corporate controller. Before joining Parker Drilling, he held the position of vice president and corporate controller for Shared Technologies Inc. from April 2008. From 1997 to 2008 he held several financial leadership positions at Flowserve Corporation, including director of finance - Engineered Americas for the Company's pump division, worldwide service group controller - Flow Solutions division and corporate director of financial planning and analysis/Internal Audit. Prior to Flowserve, Mr. Schlom served as audit and assurance manager for PriceWaterhouseCoopers from 1988 to 1997. Mr. Schlom graduated from California State University - Dominguez Hills in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting.

 

 

Michael D. Drennon

Vice President, Operations

Michael D. Drennon was appointed vice president, operations for Parker Drilling Company in December 2005, with responsibility for worldwide drilling operations. Prior to joining Parker Drilling, Mr. Drennon was program director for BP's development of existing and potential discoveries in Angola. BP is one of the world's largest energy companies. Drennon spent over 28 years with Amoco and BP in a variety of staff, engineering and operation assignments.

Mr. Drennon received a bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University in 1977.
